Hi there! I'm a Content Strategist who has worn many marketing hats during my professional career. I help organisations understand their content and how they can make it better to help their business grow. I also help teams reflect on the processes they have in place to create, manage and measure content, and how everything they publish becomes part of growing interconnected systems.
I’m a founding partner at E&K Studio, a frequent dabbler in no code and AI automations, a sometimes speaker, and keep a small printmaking and art studio.
Content makes the world go round.
My first job was in a nonprofit, where I used to work a lot on volunteer and donor experiences. Then I met a Director of UX who introduced me to the field of Content Strategy. It formalised many concepts I was doing intuitively. I moved to tech, and since then I’ve worked with software development companies, product agencies and inside a Fortune 500 enterprise company.
No matter my title, I've always been the person who fixes things from the content and customer experience angle. I focus on mapping customer journeys and creating connected systems of content assets that support an organisation’s brand across channels and allow for frictionless buying journeys.
When I talk about content, I talk about content ecosystems
When someone reads your homepage, sees one of your social posts, walks through an onboarding flow of your product, they're interacting with content your organisation has created.
They won't care about the specific channel or format and will choose what fits their needs best in that given moment. They will care if the information they find in different places is consistent and useful for what they need.
I've learned that it matters less if the person writing the content is the marketer, or the sales person, or the product manager. Often, everyone will do it at some point (even the CEO!). Your users don't care either.
What matters is that everyone who writes content inside an organisation is aware that they're not writing for their team and their specific one-time goal, but contributing to an ecosystem that needs to make sense to an audience that interacts with it in a chaotic way.
If it doesn't? Well, you've just broken some trust, created unnecessary friction, even lost a client.
